Biography:

Growing up I took as many opportunities as I could to gain performance experience. I regularly entered regional festivals and competitions - winning the Devon and Exeter Festival twice. I have taken all classical Piano examination grades (passing Grade 8 at 16) and the Pop singing equivalent (Music Theatre inclusive).

On completing my first demo CD, I was accepted into Paul McCartney's University (LIPA) to study as a Singer and Pianist but instead decided to study Commercial Music at Bath Spa University College – specializing in vocal performance and songwriting. However the course turned out to only require 4 hours commitment a week and as it was not fulfilling all my expectations I decided to leave, and set out to make it by myself. Quite simply; I haven't looked back.

Within a year I had created my own website and was eventually receiving on average 4 wedding bookings/week. Throughout the next three years I wrote many songs and built my own recording studio. I took intensive singing training and courses both locally and in London and also made sure that I had all the qualifications I needed to be successful as a performer (e.g. completed all Associated Board examinations). 

During this time I also travelled the world, experienced many different cultures and enjoyed meeting many types of people.

Since leaving University I have experienced many wonderful moments as a performer. One of the most memorable happened in December 2007 when I was invited by John Govier to be interviewed and to perform three songs live on BBC radio. The performance was a big success and I was subsequently asked to perform for the BBC at the Devon County Show.

At the end of 2007, I took the opportunity to perform abroad and after a brief tour of America joined Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas cruise ship to perform every night as a Singer/Pianist in their Piano bar. Once again this was a success and I received many impressive reviews from the guests, reporting that ‘I had made their cruise’ and was asked back within a week of returning home.

At the start of 2008 I was asked by renowned producer Richard Donahue to record 5 songs in Nashville, Tennessee, with some of the best session musicians in America. While it was quite daunting to get myself over the Atlantic to record; it was one of the best experiences of my life, as I learned so much about the industry and what it takes to make a good recording artist and

 producer. Shortly after arriving back from Nashville I went to Los Angeles to begin writing my first album of original material and to also gain some further insight into the entertainment industry.

Returning in September 2008 I secured recording time and a co-producer in John Ratcliff, manager and producer of 80s band A-ha, and began recording my debut album. The first tracks recorded “I Will Run” and “Once Upon A Time” were completed in October 2008. On both tracks I performed lead and backing vocals as well as acting as co-producer and arranger, performing all keyboard based instruments.

As you will understand; in the music industry, particularly as a performer, how you look on paper is only a very rough estimation. What it all boils down to is how you sing and engage an audience. I guarantee that I am more than qualified and experienced to completely blow an audience away, vocally, and coax them to the dance floor for a night of pure jiving energy. What I offer is 100% original and no one can do this the way that I can.

With a repertoire spanning five decades – from Queen & Elvis classics to Number One love songs (see Repertoire and Demo Clips) my set boasts a full evening’s live entertainment. Including first dance of your choice, additional live background piano entertainment - which clients may choose to have while their guests arrive or dine, top-quality backing tracks (produced specifically to complement my voice), an extra microphone for speeches, full lighting and PA System.
